The Road Remains (El camino queda)

For the past year, the road has been the only constant in my life. From boots on ice to a fading figure to light, this series follows the act of walking when there is no home to return to.

For the past year, the road has been the only constant in my life. Walking through life has become unpredictable: sometimes the path is clear and well lit, other times dark and uncertain. What matters is knowing how to use the light.

The sequence begins with boots on compacted ice and moves gradually from the feet to the legs, then to the whole body, from silhouette to a figure that fades as it moves, and from there to light, until only the road remains.

When you have no home to return to, very little is left behind. These images show my path, and the light I have learned to follow along the way.
