A photographic study of sea anemones, where vivid forms and quiet simplicity invite the viewer to pause, breathe, and rediscover the extraordinary beauty held in the smallest details of the natural world.

Underwater, colour fades with depth, and the sea turns to blue. Anemones are the exception: they seem to glow against it.

I started photographing them because I couldn't look away. They are small, soft, and almost absurdly simple, yet every one I met had its own colour, its own posture, its own way of holding the light.

This series gathers those encounters from the waters off Santa Marta, Colombia. I kept the frame square and the compositions spare so that colour and form do the work. I wanted each photograph to feel the way the animal feels in the water: unhurried and complete.

I believe beauty doesn't need to be loud. These images were made to be printed and hung, and to be looked at for longer than a glance. If they give someone a moment to stop, breathe, and notice something small, they have done what I hoped.
