Out of the Darkness Into the Light is a ongoing series about love, hope and the unseen light during tough times.
One day I was on my evening walk with my beloved one and our three dear dogs. I thought to myself about how we as humans go through so much in one lifetime that shapes who we are, what we do, and where we go.
Unaware of how these things shape our minds, we live our life everyday, but the days that have shaped me most are the simple, mundane days and the tough days.
While on this walk, all it took was looking at my beloved one and our dogs running in the wet monsoon grass of the lush green fields where we go for walk. I looked at them and I saw light, the sunlight, of course, but also their faces in the light, which makes me feel hopeful that even through anything and everything, something soft still lives, something hopeful, something effortless and natural everyday.
They are the gentle tide washing the grit away, reminding me that something effortless and natural survives every erosion.
We often wait for grand gestures or monumental shifts to heal us. But the light doesn’t wait for a perfect day, it spills over the mundane, the routine, and the ordinary, if only we pause long enough to notice.
This series is about how I saw light in the simplest and darkest times of my life, hoping and praying, but the light was always there and we were always in that light.
So we keep walking, step by step, through the lush green grass of our fields and the changing seasons. The storms will come and go, but as long as we have each other and these open fields, we will always know our way back to the sun, to what matters most, to the light.
