I am a Photographic Artist based in London. I take an experimental approach to my work and use mixed media to illustrate topics and agendas affecting contemporary society. The impact modern technologies have on the future of human interaction and intimacy is the central motivation of my work.

‘Logging on to Love’ is an exploration of the development of sex robots and virtual relationships. The project encourages me to question our ethics in relation to robots and what they mean for the future of human interaction and intimacy.

The development of sex robots and artificial intelligence is a current and important revolution that could create a lasting change in human society. This project is intended to raise awareness of this topical issue and highlight how sex robots further objectify women and contribute to the inequalities in society, through their marketisation of the female body.

It could be argued that virtual sex partners are better than no partner at all, but it is also important to recognise that human/robot relationships could present real challenges to human interactions and society now and in the future.
