On the day of the new moon, when the sun and the moon are at their closest, what might they be talking—secretly from the Earth? This project envisions the scenes that unfold on the far side of the moon during the new moon.

Dear my hummingbird

You are my golden shadow,

too shine, your fearfree attitude

too dark, the depth of your sadness

I don't know I can reach to your light in this lifetime

but also sure that we'll be one again
