Deep Talk

What does a deep conversation look like without words? Born from a genuine conversation between two women, Deep Talk explores how emotions reveal themselves through gestures, touch, expressions and movement — from quiet tension to spontaneous laughter.

Deep Talk

What does a deep conversation look like when the words are taken away?

Deep Talk emerged from a genuine, unhurried conversation between two women, sitting on a windowsill after the photoshoot had already ended. As we spoke about life, I found myself listening with my eyes, too. Beyond our words, another conversation was unfolding — almost like a dance.

Fingers playing with fabric. A hand gripping the skin. A thoughtful pause, an unexpected laugh, a sudden movement.

Our conversation carried a range of emotions — tension, vulnerability, humour, openness. Sometimes these feelings followed one another; sometimes they seemed to coexist. I was fascinated by how much could be expressed through the body without necessarily being put into words.

As both photographer and participant, I was not simply observing someone else's experience. I was part of the exchange, responding to her presence while she responded to mine.

Moving between intimate portraits, fragmented gestures and abstraction, the photographs explore the visible language of human connection.

What we said remains between us. What the camera witnessed is here.
