This photographic series explores Hana entering a new chapter of her life, one shaped by romance, love, and a deepening connection with her own femininity. She is in the process of becoming — slowly unfolding into a softer, more radiant, and more open version of herself. Through the experience of love, Hana begins to let go of some of the emotional armour she has carried, allowing herself to become softer, more open and vulnerable at the same time.

Yet, this transformation is not entirely effortless or secure. Beneath her blossoming is a vulnerability: the feeling of being exposed, unguarded, and not entirely protected. She is opening herself to something beautiful without knowing exactly where it will lead. There is tenderness in this uncertainty, a delicate tension between the desire to surrender to love and the instinct to protect herself from being hurt.

The photographs made in the studio capture this in-between moment — the space between who she has been and who she is becoming. She is no longer entirely closed off, but she has not yet found complete safety in her openness. She is learning to soften without knowing whether she will be caught, to trust without having every answer, and to embrace her femininity without needing to understand or control every part of the experience.

At its heart, this is a story about blooming without being entirely protected.
