A frame without face

Each of us carries our own cries from the shadows; I chose to give mine a history, with a frame but without a face.

A Frame Without Face is a visual story born from a need to stop looking at the world as it is, and instead to hold on to moments in their shadowed parts.

The project seeks to show that we do not need to see everything in order to see, understand, and feel. I embrace the idea that, sometimes, meaning is born precisely from what is incomplete, or, more importantly, from what remains ambiguous. Over-explaining, over-showing, exposing contrasts and colors is not the driving force of this work. What interests me more is the murmur of shadows and light passing through our eyelids, imposing multiple meanings and perspectives upon us.

Sometimes, even meaning escapes us. What remains is then a question—one that, at the same time, affirms something essential: truth does not need a face for us to accept it.

Through black-and-white photographs built around shadows, light, and what deliberately remains outside the frame, A Frame Without Face seeks less to show than to let us see.
