Lunarium and other lists

A list of lists, an almanac, an obituary, a point of observation born from curiosity.

“Lunário e outras listas” (Lunarium and other lists) works within the mechanical, indexing, and repetitive language of photography. In this circular discourse, it recounts in parallel the cycles of the moon, of life (in its endless tasks), of the changing seasons, and of the “vertigo of the list.” Among the collections we involuntarily make—the personal library, inherited objects, small rituals and superstitions, or the desire we have to glimpse the future by observing natural cycles—this project oscillates between the macro and the micro, attempting to find the comfort we feel in large and small circular movements, in returning to the known, in predicting the unknown, or in ritualizing repetition.
