A daily monochrome photo-poetry series by naozo. Since 2025, each work pairs a moment from everyday life with a poem from NZ, the artist's future self. Through glass, light, and silence, the series turns self-doubt into dialogue.

Day601【Weight】
DEAR naozo,
What
Are you carrying
That is what
I would ask
People
Seek lightness
They believe
Less responsibility
A forgotten past
And freedom from expectation
Will make them free
Yet
Sometimes
I wonder
Is weight
Only something
That makes us suffer
Responsibility
The past
Promises
Choices
Things no one can see
Accumulate
Above you
At times
They block the sky
Stop your feet
And make you feel
As though you alone
Stand in darkness
But within
That weight
Are things
You protected
Things
You refused to abandon
And things
You chose yourself
I believe
Weight alone
Does not make us unhappy
What we carry
Can reveal
How we choose to live
You need not
Put everything down
Nor is endurance
The only strength
Simply
Look at what rests
Upon your shoulders
If necessary
Put it down
But if it is something
You refuse to abandon
Accept
Its weight as well
Do not flee from weight
It may be
The mass
Of what you chose
What do you think
from NZ
