Vulnerability - 2015

Captured a decade ago, ‘Vulnerability’ is a self portrait of myself, a young Egyptian woman embarking on a photographic journey of the self in a state of surrender, curiosity and fragility.

My body of work “Vulnerability’ was captured in my second year of university. My body had become a point of severe suffering and illness, and capturing it with such a confronting and permanent medium like photography deemed as an impossible task. Nonetheless, I ended up captured a fleeting moment of my youth and made it last forever.
