The Edge is an ongoing photographic series exploring the spaces where movement, stillness and everyday life briefly intersect.

The project focuses on people encountered at the edges of public spaces, along coastlines, waterfronts, streets and transitional environments. Rather than following a single subject, the photographs observe individuals as they temporarily enter and leave the frame, creating moments that exist somewhere between arrival and departure.

Through high contrast black and white photography, The Edge removes much of the visual distraction of the surrounding environment and concentrates instead on gesture, movement, distance and human presence. Figures become part of the landscape while remaining momentarily distinct from it.

The series is interested in these brief relationships between people and place, particularly moments that may appear insignificant while they are happening but become more noticeable once isolated within a photograph.
