Same Planet. Other Worlds.

Curiosity is the beginning of every movement.

Same Planet, Other Worlds is an ongoing series that explores curiosity: the instinct that drives us to look beyond the horizon, ask questions, imagine, discover and rediscover world around. Anyone from us is that astronaut.

Freediving has now become both a means of exploration and artistic medium for me. By entering the underwater environment on a single breath I experience landscapes that challenge our usual perception of space, gravity, movements. The known is still unknown. Through photography I seek to capture that feeling of discovery.

The project is still growing. There are many ideas I have not yet been able to photograph because they require travel, time, safety team.

The grant would be used entirely for the production of new photographs within the Same Planet, Other Worlds series. This project seeks to expand the series beyond Sinai, exploring other landscapes that echo the feeling of “other planets”.
