Fairytales

Playgrounds are particular places; if during the day they are spaces for meeting, playing and of light-heartedness, at night they change face, transforming themselves into sinister, lonely and desolate environments.

In “Fairytales” these realities coexist giving life to a fairy place, inhabited by creatures that move between truth and fiction, between presence and absence.

Time is suspended and canceled by an eternal present in which the night is as bright as the day and the movements become fragmented and simultaneous.

The nocturnal restlessness is dampened by vivid and bright, artificial colors. The lights become stars: apparitions of reality that is dressed in magic. The desolation of the evening remains, underlined by the presence of these creatures playing solitary on the slides, immersed in a hermetic reality of which they are the only inhabitants.

The image becomes the way to transform reality into a fairytale and to make a fairytale a little more real.
