Everyday Life

This is an ongoing project, it's what I enjoy photographing the most: portraits, landscapes, environmental portraits, travel, life. After 25 years of taking a break from processing my own film, I have started processing again which adds to the joy.

I photograph what I see. I’m not conceptual, I’m interested in feeling, color, composition, and light. My intent is to be able to recreate what I see. This project is my oldest, and it's what I spend the most time photographing. It's life with a capitol L, in all the myriad ways it shows up, and we show up. I focus on people in their environments, and the environments on their own. I photograph at home, and when I travel. I always have a camera on me. And now, after not processing film for the last 25 years due to circumstances, labs closing etc, I've started processing my film at home which has added another layer to the joy. To go back to the basics: analog camera, light meter, film, processing at home - it's what I love the most. All images were taken with a 2 1/4 analog camera (Hasselbad and Rollei) and color film.
