In May 2011, after 9 months of unsuccessful treatment, doctors diagnosed Alice with aggressive breast cancer.

In May 2011, after 9 months of unsuccessful treatment, doctors diagnosed Alice with aggressive breast cancer. Initiation of appropriate therapy at the time of tumor detection engender chances of complete remission, but after such a long time, late action did not give very good bargain.

It's hard to be apart, knowing how little you can do. It's hard to let go and watch idly , wait. Time is the enemy. Photography can be an illusion that it can stop the process of passing away, and save the priceless relationship a little while longer. Camera and work were my shield, after which I could hide, it distanced me, gave the appearance of control, discourage a sense of despair that I may not be able to save Alice. It seemed to me that I did everything I could and I did the best I could. Now I would do many things differently. We survived the most difficult period of the disease. Failed to save our relationship. In October 2013, when the cancer was in a state of relative remission we broke up after 10 years of relationship.

For now, Alice feels reasonably well.
