The photographs look for details that are easy to pass by: a paw print, a feather, a fallen leaf, a tiny insect, a drop of rain. The intention is simple: to slow down and notice the ordinary details that can hold their own beauty and story.

A World in Small Things

We often move through the world looking ahead, searching for something important enough to deserve our attention. In doing so, we pass countless small things without noticing them: a feather floating on dark water, an insect resting silently on a leaf, a paw print left behind after rain, a flower fallen onto the road.

A World in Small Things is an attempt to pause.

The series begins with ordinary encounters in familiar surroundings like gardens, ponds, roads, rooftops, and the spaces around home. Through these small observations, I began to realize that even the most insignificant things can carry their own stories. A leaf can become a boat and bring back a childhood that has long passed. A small insect can appear alive even after death. A forgotten cactus can continue growing quietly toward the sunlight.

Some photographs in the series are accompanied by personal stories and reflections. These memories are not always visible in the photographs themselves, but they are part of the way I experienced these moments. They connect what is seen with what is remembered, imagined, and felt.

This is not a search for extraordinary things. It is a search for what is already there.
