A daily monochrome photo-poetry series by naozo. Since 2025, each work pairs a moment from everyday life with a poem from NZ, the artist's future self. Through glass, light, and silence, the series turns self-doubt into dialogue.

Day606【Barrier】
DEAR naozo,
What
Stands in your way
That is what
I would ask
People
Look into the distance
Choose where
They wish to go
And desire
A straight path
To reach it
Then
They call
Whatever stands between
A barrier
Failure
Rejection
Detours
A reality
That refuses
Their wishes
Yet
Sometimes
I wonder
Is a barrier
Merely something
That blocks the way
If nothing
Ever opposed us
We might never know
What we truly desire
When something
May be taken from us
Desire gains
Its form
When we are obstructed
The will first learns
Its own strength
I will not tell you
To love barriers
Nor to destroy them
Nor endure them
Only
When you stand
Before one
Look at what
You still desire
A barrier
May stand before you
But it cannot obstruct
The will
That looks beyond it
What matters
Is not only
What stops you
But what
You still desire
There
More clearly
Than the barrier itself
You will find
Yourself
What do you think
