A daily monochrome photo-poetry series by naozo. Since 2025, each work pairs a moment from everyday life with a poem from NZ, the artist's future self. Through glass, light, and silence, the series turns self-doubt into dialogue.

Day600【Engrave】
For a moment is enough. Tear through the darkness, and your existence is engraved.
DEAR naozo,
What
Do you want
To leave behind
That is what
I would ask
People
Seek value
In what lasts
They desire
What will not disappear
And hope
Not to be forgotten
Yet
Sometimes
I wonder
Must something
Be eternal
To have meaning
Lightning
Vanishes in an instant
It tears through darkness
Illuminates the world
Then disappears
As though
Nothing happened
Still
Even darkness
Cannot erase
The fact
That it shone
Perhaps
We are the same
You need not
Be praised forever
Remembered
By someone
Or leave behind
Something great
If only for a moment
You tore through
Your own darkness
That moment
Cannot become
Nothing
I believe
To live
Is not
To remain forever
It is
To engrave
Your existence
Into time
One day at a time
Six hundred days
You did not walk
Only in light
You wandered
Doubted
Stopped
And still
Kept questioning
Each day
Is engraved
Into time
Like a wound
That will not vanish
So
Do not ask
For eternity
A moment is enough
Tear through
The darkness
For six hundred days
Within the darkness
Six hundred times
You engraved
Yourself
What do you think
